The fabric on these is original, both chairs could use updating. One chair has a small hole in the back of the seat back. Otherwise they are very cool vintage rare amazing pieces, and they can be used as they are. However, an excellent opportunity to customize upholster-- we leave this up to you.

This Morrison/Hannah design for Knoll Studios is often considered one of the most elegant desk chair designs from the mid-century era. It embodies utilitarian sculpture at its finest with its curvaceous cast-aluminum frame, blue tufted cushions, and aluminum swivel base. The chair is in exceptional original condition for its age of nearly 50 years, both frame and fabric. Comfortable and stylish, this chair would make the perfect addition to any midcentury desk or office space.

Condition: Good vintage condition, all original, sturdy. Slight imperfections to be expected due to age. Frame paint may be imperfect in some areas overall looks great. Upholstery is original and may benefit in being updated. Original upholstery is very cool as a period piece. As such, Chair can be used as is, but down the line or any time you would see fit, refreshing with new upholstery could be a game changer. In any case, a true collector's item. The back of one chair has a small hole in the upholstery. As seen in last image here. Very comfortable chair.
