1980s Danish Modern Peter Hvidt Style Teak & Walnut Cube Base with Glass Top Sculptural Coffee or Side Table
1980s Danish Modern Peter Hvidt Style Teak & Walnut Cube Base with Glass Top Sculptural Coffee or Side Table
Absolutely stunning, one-of-a-kind, RARE, high-end designer table purchased from a very avid Mid Century Danish Modern furniture collector. We believe that it is signed by the artist, or labeled with the year of purchase from Century House, Madison WI with this on the bottom. It states "GENTRY 86" on the bottom. Everything in this collector's home was purchased from the Century House (a store devoted to designer and Mid Century, Herman Miller, Danish and Scandinavian Modern designs).
This is a gorgeous piece-- the cube structure is made of solid teak and rosewood. The glass table top is stunning and high quality. You could switch it out for any shape table top at your leisure. It is very well made and the exquisite base is in excellent condition througout. A table of this stature is likely worth the 3-5K price point.
This table is attributed to designs much like those created by Peter Hvidt, Kai Kristiansen and Poul Norreklit. We are not sure who produced this table.
